Early at daybreak I chase the morning sun
And bathe in the flood of wandering rays.
I watch the sugar cane fields wave in the breeze,
And I thrill to blithesomeness of the newborn day.
I ask myself what else do I need to make myself happy.
There is everything here!
Stay quiet, there is a twitter in the bush close by
A mother bird is feeding a lonesome young.
The hibiscus flashes in the shy shade
Shameless in its glorious purple
Tempting a cheeky sparrow.
In that great living panoply of marvels,
Nothing is missing.
It is a mosaic
Full, throbbing and drenched in some perpetual liveliness,
Now caught in millions tinsels of sunshine
Then as the breeze blew
Lost in quick shades of fleeting darkness.
And the mosaic rises again,
Almost like an unseen hand playing on an instrument
A certain wand orchestrating it all,
Such asilent magic
Such a transcendental control,
Creation
And precision!
