Saint Lucifer

I feel his thoughts flow through me
In the times when I knew him not
We dreamt the same dreams
Hummed the same melodies

I feel him burning through my blood streams
He leaf time and again the miserable reminiscences
With the faint radiance of his personal
Digging me deep and more

Under the night sky
I stand, dressed for sundown
Satin powerless to swathe malice
Naked in the face of the pricey

Retrospective mind’s eye
Feeding the untamed desires
To fork and re-fork the prospect of life
It is madness in a compelling manner

I conquered what I feared the most
An impression I possessed
But not for long
My illusions were busted before long

The fearsome face of the devil
Stared right through the polished mirrors
He seemed familiar but different in assorted traditions
He haunted me from over my shoulders but not for long

Now when I have met the evil inside myself
I blind myself on events
And let him free in this pitiless world
To wake up content and with no memory to recall

He makes me a worse version of myself, a fact I know well
But not always friends are superior to foes
While you despise him, he bring me stories from the sinister land
And I name him Saint Lucifer
