It Cost Nothing To Be Good(Heart Of Gold)

I've this gift not sold
My only gift of gold
A gold that can't be bought
But only few know its worth
'Tis a heart of gold.

Travelling through life, how I got lame
A decorated stick turns my trusted frame
On my head so much weight
On no one will I wait
Free from 'em and myself from shame.

I've chosen to stay alive
I'll strive hard to survive
Many shakes their heads in pity
Bestowed on me is a penalty
So many treasures am deprived.

Weighed on my shoulder a burden
Alone I bare them, its hidden
I will continue till judgment day
Only then I'll have a say
Oh Lord! Why was I forsaken? ? ?

Though your obstacles, you stand still, bold
And went in search of a gold
Those who've not, you never looked away
For that, your deeds travelled so faraway
As a reward for a heart of gold.
