In the solitude of a brand new day, I close my eyes, and see
The grandeur of lofty mountains -- the splendor of each tree!
Cotton clouds go drifting by -- in wondrous shapes and sizes,
The skies above so very blue -- a joy in me arises!

On a lonely, windswept beach -- sat a solitary figure
Gazing raptly at the incoming "breakers" -- not moving --
Just sitting -- the fine mist swirling all around her --
Oblivious of her surroundings, her senses not behooving!

Smiles

The wastelands of a desert, can be seen for miles and miles,
But the happiness upon a face, is seen, in wondrous smiles!
And gazing at majestic mountains, rising from the earth's floor --
Makes one want to go exploring, all around us, finding more.
