Death

I woke up with tears in my eyes, hoping someone would tell me it was all lies.
Damn me! You were really gone.
The memories of building sandcastles by that guava tree that never gets old.
Dancing in the rain, without getting scared of catching a cold.
The joy that came with every brick that we mold.
Making promises for the future, we were so bold.
If only we knew"..."
Death crept precipitously
It dragged and crushed us apart
It should have at least told me you were next to depart.
Like a volcanic eruption, it melted my joy away.
Crippled to my knees, all I could do was pray.
I can still hear the echoes of your laughter.
A beautiful soul and a good fautor.
But there is no more you, only the memories of the good old days.
Death knows no boundary, we all need to change our ways.
