The cold wind blows as i trudge,
to your graveside, my omnipotent judge.
My mind is strong but my heart is weak,
in white dreams your face i seek
...
My Absence
The cold wind blows as i trudge,
to your graveside, my omnipotent judge.
My mind is strong but my heart is weak,
in white dreams your face i seek
I heap some air unto my breast,
to stop the tears from flowing.
All around me old souls rest,
to be by your side my wish is growing
There are men of power and men of will,
Men of reading and men of thrill,
Men of dance and singing too -
but best of all are men like you
Without you here i see a darkness,
one of which i see no end,
I cannot fathom and my heart is hopeless.
One more fake smile i cant pretend.
You haven't raised a coward
and neither of a fool,
But my mind is shrunk and smothered.
I wish to follow you.
I am no saint and i am unkind
but i stand alone with my faith.
I hope to leave this abyss behind.
I shall not bow at hell's gate.
Your name is carved upon a stone
but i knew your heart could soar.
Your name is not inscribed alone -
Its in my heart forever more.
