A penniless beggar, battered and bruised
Stepped on by the townsfolk, your often abused
You help who you can, and never resist
...
It's just…simply…never…enough
We'll always think we have it rough
A glimmer of gold over yonder
...
Never ceasing, its endless march advances
It matters not, your circumstances
Beggars and kings are equal before its might
...
There once was a maiden draped in white
She prayed for justice and all which was right
A blessing to those who sought solace from their sorrow
...
When you grow weary and eventually retire
You'll gain the chance to hunt for your desire
Close your eyes and search for solace
...
Rain pours down, the sky is black
All hopes been lost, you've been ordered back
The night is dark, and you know what prowls
...
Low in the sky, the golden sun rests
On these sandy shores your resolve it tests
life's been a struggle, your burdens boundless
...
Surrounded by others who so often beguile
What truly lies behind that charming smile
The closer you are, the less you'll see
...
White Knight
White Knight
The white knight rides here and there,
his presence is felt everywhere,
he serves neither flag nor crown at all
but serves us all both large and small,
he may be as cold as ice and snow
but his heart does thus glow,
steel and fire may break and burn him
but they can never kill him,
with helm as gold as sun
and horse as white as light,
he is meant to lead us to tomorrow
and we are meant to follow.
