Scared

Scared..
Oh yes i am..

May be coz of all my thoughts
not for better, but for worse
my mind consumes me in millions of worries
for its an bottomless swamp of possibilities

May be coz of learning the Truth
for after-effects aren't easy to soothe
it may leaves a nasty scar to deal with
for then a smile is painted to hide it

May be coz of the path i'll choose
for it hurts so much if i were to lose
there's joy of winning or devastation of losing
for its what makes a game worthy of playing

May be coz of the upcoming time
for i couldn't tell what is or isn't mine
life don't go by flipping a coin or two
for each time i can't decide what to do

May be coz if i put in you all of my trust
for u now have power to turn me into dust
but i do so, its the least that you earn
for why i did it, in time you'll learn

May be coz if i jump in with both my feet
for it gets hard, if i sunk in too deep
everyone's life has a right to bear a good caption
for it shouldn't be just a horrifying hallucination

May be coz i might be walking all blind
for life didn't came with option to rewind
it may very well be the Focus that i lack
for i've taken the Step, i can't go back

May be coz of walking with you down on every road
for i don't know if i'll be the one returning alone
but dont u worry, i'll live, i wouldn't die
for a heart is doing its part to pump the liquid inside

May be you'll say a man isn't easily scared
but i'm man enough to admit it..
