Alan Bruflodt Poems

I want to read him a love poem
But I can not find the right one to read
Can not find the right one of beauty I believe
He deserves to have in his life
...

You always flew a little too close to the sun
Saw your heart as a prize not worth being won
You never let good people in your life
You were always afraid you'd cause them strife

I Want To Read Him A Love Poem

I want to read him a love poem
But I can not find the right one to read
Can not find the right one of beauty I believe
He deserves to have in his life

Something to make him smile when he wakes
Something to soothe when his anxiety spikes
Something to make his dreams sweeter at night

I want to read him a love poem
For him to listen to when things are grey
For him to not lose hope
That love will find him one day

Something to bring some light in his life
When he finds himself in the darkest time of night
When it feels like the sun has been gone too long
But he's yet to pass the twilight

Because love, beauty, and the sun should belong to him
But there's much less sun now that winter comes
And it sounds as if he has been burned by love

But more than anything
I want to read him a love poem
Because he deserves one
