A Changing

Death is on the rampage-
Unsettling with little respite,
Terror on every page.

Panic stricken from the source-
Unnerving in the night,
Fear spreads with deadly force.

From the fish in the sea-
To the birds in flight,
As far as the eye does see.

When shall it end-
Do we even put up fight,
Horrors brought by men.

Changing the sky you see-
Something that was so bright,
Just a distant memory.

Is it helpless for our young-
To watch these muttered rights,
Unheard from the child who sung.

Pity the men without guns-
Sending the kid to the fights,
Voiceless the men without sons.

Times they are a changing-
The past gone from sight,
As we embark on a new ending.
