Raindrops

All i see
is gray.
one drop
followed by another,
until the rain
pours down.
the tanbark
at my feet,
the clouds
above my head.
i look up.
a dropp hits my face;
the water
clings to my eyelashes
and soaks my hair.
creak,
goes the old swing
that i sit on,
where so many childhood memories
were made:
of laughter,
of friendship,
and love.
but now,
all i see
is different.
no more sunny skies.
no more giggles.
i sit
on that swing
and rock
back and forth;
the water from
my tears
rolls down
my face,
mixed with
the rain
that is falling.
all i see
is sadness,
and when i hear
another creak.
i turn
and see you
sitting there
beside me.
you stand,
and i stand with you,
and bury my face
in your chest and
you wrap your arms
around me.
i cry to you,
and the rains
stops falling.
