Scars

Scars. They have a meaning, a story.
We don't cut for fun, for attention.
We cut because we are in pain.
Emotional pain, emotional pains so intense that no one understands, And the physical pain we put ourselves through helps.
It is a cry for help, a silent cry that is left unnoticed.
We can't do it anymore, we can't keep cutting,
We can't keep hurting anymore.
The reason that it goes unnoticed is that we hide it,
We put a smile on our faces to hide the pain,
To hide the wreck that is our minds.
One day, our smiles will break, along with us.
