On The Road To Madeira

Looking outside by the car window
Trying to enjoy the ride with you
We passed by the countryside
But my mind was lost into you

I was at the back seat
The wind blowing my hair
It was the same hair that your fingers
playfully twirl its strands a few days ago
It used to excite me before

You keep checking on by the rearview mirror
A worried expression
As I make fun of myself singing off tune
But I was hiding this sense of uncertainty

I close my eyes and imagine the same fingers
Running through my hair
You loved the smell of it as you know I used a
Strawberry infused shampoo

Then the music from the car speakers changed
For hours, our journey was with all those dead rock stars...
