Alexia Paul Poems

As the years flew by,
My:
Dad asked me to be strong
Mom asked me to be soft
...

Batman, Spiderman, Superman? ? ?
Naaaaaaaaaa.........
Its my masculine figure within my own four walls at home
He helped me ride a bike
...

Tied together on a single cord
The rhythm of hearts played a song
Still rich in hot red my little body flickered
Held near her breast, I survived life
...

I learnt a lesson
Lessons that I learnt were from my own mistakes
Mistakes I should and could have stopped from occurring
I lead a life knowing the reward of mischief were not pleasant
...

Elysium Elysium’s Elysian
it is a state of immaculate happiness and an abode of utmost perfection
reaching there and winning the price is elusive as it sounds
...

Pestering Past

As the years flew by,
My:
Dad asked me to be strong
Mom asked me to be soft
Siblings asked me to be responsible
Friends asked me to be tough
Relatives asked me to be a helping hand

After committing myself to them,
I sat down and counted my rewards
The gifts and blessings came in scores

Yet when those memories unfolded they
Screamed at my face about how I forgot my dreams, tasks, the goals in life

Here I moan,
For if I had another life I would have waited for a new day
