Hurt

When the pain won't go away,
You see her with him,
It's like the pain never ends.
Won't you be my friend?
Make the pain end.
I have to keep a smile on my face,
Pretend like I'm not hurt.
I'm fine.
Say it enough and maybe I'll start believing it myself.
I was so happy walking up those stairs,
But when I got to the top,
It was like my heart dropped.
Seeing her sitting next to him,
Seeing them looking like more than friends.
Stand there, stricken as she gets up and walks away,
Walk over and pretend your okay as best as you can.
I don't need a friend.
I need to be okay,
I need to be fixed.
I need him to realize that there are pieces barely holding onto my heart.
He never will,
I just have to hold on, as best I can.
I have to be stronger, I always am.
Can't I just be weak for once?
But it's not my choice.
