Alice E. Conley Poems

A child cries in the distance,
For n one's to hear... The pain of a child,
Is so very sad to hear... Governments fight over land, boundaries,
Gold, oil, timber and such... The children are the greatest
...

A whisper of a breeze, gently passes by...
Will it be noticed, or whisked by, as a whisper of time... Is time a second of a thousand years?
Or a thousand years a whisper of a second? The years of a child, are just a whisper of life...
The days are passed by, as a whisper of the aged... The most precious gift you can share...
...

In time of trouble,
In time of need... Take a little time, and
Fall to your knees.. Just say a little prayer;
And God will hear... For; He heard you cuss;

Everyone Is Someone's' Child

A child cries in the distance,
For n one's to hear... The pain of a child,
Is so very sad to hear... Governments fight over land, boundaries,
Gold, oil, timber and such... The children are the greatest
Commodity that is on this earth... But the little children are
Starved, beaten, and abused... No praise, joy or laughter can
Be heard within their tears... They live in the sewers, and in the
Streets; ignored and pushed aside... The boundaries must be broken;
If a child is to survive... Or soon there shall not be heard...
The cry of a child.
