Rose Bud

I was never a Rose Bud but only a thorn
I was never a baby even though I was born
I was never a Rose bud, I was only forlorn
I was never held close in a mother's sweet arm
I was never cuddled, hugged or kept warm.
I was never a Rose bud even though I was born.

I was never a Rose Bud, tell why I was born?
I was always so fragile, so lonely and torn.
I was never a Rose Bud, what is God's plan?
I was never a Rose Bud, I stand on quick sand.
I was brought into this world as man's contraband

I was never a Rose Bud I've shed many tear.
I was only a thorn, but I must persevere.
I wonder around aimlessly burden with fear
I would never find God, that was becoming quite clear
I then heard Him say softly, 'Peace unto You'
As m Father sent me, I have also sent you.
