I see a small glow in the night
it's a fire burning bright
as it spreads across the earth
it's much bigger from it's birth

I long for you, but you no longer love me.
I shout to you, but you don't hear a thing.
Just letting you know, you have my heart's key.
You broke my heart and it cannot be fixed.

Why did you tell me you loved me?
Why did you look into my eyes and not my heart?
Why are we growing so greatly apart?
I thought we had something, but you broke my heart.

as i hear the fire of the guns
i hear the loving words of none
the soldier that we love has died
it's war we should have put aside

life is harsh
life have no mercy
life lay across my arm
