In my darkest hour of solitude,
I find relief in nothing.
A devil without its resting pace,
haunting and dancing to a melancholic strain.
Engulfed in a neverending serene of gloominess,
with loneliness as my only friend.
I watch the meadows in dismay,
where is the joy that others find and I dont?
Where is the glow, the laughter and the gleam?
Where is the heaven that was sung to me as a child?
My heart is barren but the burden is heavy.
Where is it, the stories I was promised in my mother's arms?
