Soaring through the air like waves at sea,

Some useful landing in somebodies ears,
...

Far between my fears forgotten,
Behind masks made by the guilty ones,
She asked me if what I thought was what i'm thinking
N' freedom flashed through sands of forgotten sorrows
...

Although the chains around my ankles have left a mark

Although the cuffs were heavy and made our nights dark

I sing today alone to you

Remembering the days I sang alone for me 

...

When she smiles, I feel just fine

When she spends, she spends my time

She spends it well for when I leave I tell

All my friends I was with her


...

Now the everlasting effervescence of innocence comes running down to prove,

That you and me baby were never meant to last,
...

These things I get I don't deserve
The things I have, I'll try to preserve
So thanks you for all that I receive
Be it happiness, or be it grief
