Daddy's Little Girl

He had finally became a dad, to daughter he never had,
She became his world, she was 'daddy's little girl'.

But when she was the age of four, she heard a knock at the front door,
Daddy told his little girl he was going on a holiday, she ask if she could go with,
As she didn't want her daddy to go away.

But daddy said no,
She was confused and didn't understand why,
From that day on, as many years passed by,
The little girl would always miss her daddy and cry.

Since that day he has never been heard from or seen,
Daddy's little girl is now almost seventeen,
She still waits, wishes and dreams for the day,
When she finds out why her daddy ran away.

Her hopes of finding her father only increase,
As she lives her life with a missing puzzle piece.
