When I'M Away

What do you think of me
When I'm away
When you're left with only your thoughts
And scents of me
Long after I've left for the night and said goodbye
And the goodnight kiss evanishes into the air
In your room
Full of thoughts and memories of You and I
All the times we laughed and cried
Slept days away
When you sit where I have and lay where I have
And played where I have and laughed where I have
Ghostly apparitions Overlapping
As you look out there in that now empty and hollow space
And the space between spaces
The laughter echoes along with secrets told
When the feel of my touch fades away
What do you think of me
When I'm away

As you try to sleep but can't
When food has no taste
When my voice dissapears from memory
And my words lack effect
When time spent apart feels like waiting
When the quick dark night replaces images of You and I
Behind your eyes
Inside your chest
In your veins
What do you think of me
When I'm away
