The Doorway

It was hidden within the forest- I could just barely see. And yet somehow another doorway had opened up for me. I took a few steps forward though I was filled with anxiety- there was hope. As I peered through the doorway I observed a rising slope. My anxiety increased as I scanned this new terrain. Some areas were slippery- but in my heart I could not remain.

I was once the master of every key.
There was not a lock which could not be opened by me.
But time moved forward and with it my family tree.
I am now just another unused antiquity.
