My Dearest Winifred

If thoughts could speak
And heart desires heard,
You would be the songs I sing
For you are the song I sing
Precious you are to me,
Precious you are Ify
I hate the fact that Am like this
I love the fact that Am like this
You broke through me
Just to get through to me
You made me see
When all things seemed bleak,
You welcomed me
Without trying,
You brought out the best in me
Without dying,
You drove out he death in me
I've always felt self-pity
Having lost all that seemed dear to me
Having lost all that WAS dear to me
.. You rescued me,
Pulling me up from the bottomless pit
Of self-pity,
.. And grief
Of soullessness and of a sore heart
ONLY GOD,
Could have done such a thing
ONLY GOD
Could have wroth such a miracle
I see GOD in you
I feel His AWESOMENESS whenever am around you
Yes, we may not be best of friends
Nor share in the pleasantries of conversations
But I love you,
Because you love the Author and Finisher of my Salvation
I need you,
Because without you, I am incomplete
Heaven knows the hell I've been through
The storms I pass through
Just so I can get close to you
My pride is humbled by your beauty
My fire is quenched by your Purity
Make me the happiest man alive,
Stretch out an arm of friendship
Make me the happiest King on earth,
For no true king is just and noble
Without the counsel,
Guide and light of his Queen
