Imaginary Lines

They say nothing is permanent
But when I know I am fourteen billion year old stardust
I can’t help but stutter with amazement
I can believe I am a product of a star burst

Here we fight over imaginary
Lines drawn on this earthy tapestry
Differences that that are exterior only
Fight because of passion towards flawed ideology

Our cause is to no effect in the waters of a great ocean
We are so ignorant that our triumphs insignificant
And don't affect the galaxies' motion
Like an ants attempt to move a monument

So let's leave all the battles behind
Slowly erasing the dubious divides
Live out what is left for us
Die with some dignity still left in us
