Menu Of The Day

he walked on the pavement,
tired, weak and hungry,
an school bag was on the road,
its tiny food packets scattered,
he moved to the road lips smacking,
when it was time for the defeaning
sound and blinding lights.

minutes later when one could,
see through the fumes,
he was not found in the area,
and the vehicles had fallen
and was lying scattered! .
