The Imitated Life
As I exited my home, I felt just fine,
I had nothing but love and peace on my mind
Much to my dismay, to my deepest of despair
The world I had once remembered, just wasn't there
My promenade down the streets of destitution
Made me pray for the world's absolution
The displayed acts of desperation, we as a society have to seek reparation.
We mimic everybody and everything, could someone tell
me, "what does this all mean?"
The accolade that was once shown for our children,
turned into ridicule and fear, I’ll pray for
a change before the end ...
