Ann Pattinson Poems

Luscious, rolling hills of green with looming fruit trees contain the brittle hopes and dreams of the future for the youth who plant their roots here in the meadow of their summer.

Invincible teenagers explore their opportunities with confidence; the liquid gold rays of the laughing sun penetrate through any fear of completely letting go of morals and values. It is the time of their lives, and they go about with a courageous, dauntless manner, sure of the world and their being.

Summer

Luscious, rolling hills of green with looming fruit trees contain the brittle hopes and dreams of the future for the youth who plant their roots here in the meadow of their summer.

Invincible teenagers explore their opportunities with confidence; the liquid gold rays of the laughing sun penetrate through any fear of completely letting go of morals and values. It is the time of their lives, and they go about with a courageous, dauntless manner, sure of the world and their being.

The secrets of summer are sealed in the ripe fruit of a peach tree, the juicy gossip running down child’s chin as they bite into life, feeling the thick, intoxicating juice, wanting more. The lust and excitement of this warm season lures them in to feel the sweet, gentle breath of the wind, wanting to burrow into the mysteries of summer.
