The World

Everyone is looking to the Brighter One
The one that shines like a glowing star
But when he loses his Luster
The World will look at him like they would at char

But to the Actual Ones that Shine
The Ones that Work their Hardest
The Ones That Keep the World Stepping Up
Will be kicked away as a Piece of Dust

People Jeer and Laugh and Taunt
Thinking Themselves as the Shining Beat
From Far Away a Star is Beautiful
But Up Close, It’s Not that Sweet

The World may do what it wants to do, may it be laugh, jeer, or taunt,
But you and I know that we just ignore and the World will just go on in its want.
