Sunlight streams in golden ribbons through
my window
melting the shadows to
caramel haze;
I turn my face to
your sleepy gaze.
Your smile is
perfect and soft
as blue velvet on my skin;
It seeps into the corners
of myself
where I have let you in.
Your fingers trace the butter-soft curves
of hips that moved
beneath the fabric of your skin;
My lips are raw and
searching for the memory of
yours again.
Your mouth is an anchor
pulling me down into the
nothingness of an abyss;
I am chained and sinking beneath
the weight of this kiss.
I am burnt to embers inside your inferno.
