Dear Brain

O Brain O brain, for umpteen days you have slept in vain;
Losing with time, the gleam of way you once used to reign.

At times though cold, you were the ruler strong & bold;
Days good or bad, on thy subjects you had a sterner hold.

A balanced state longed by all, but lucky were not so many;
To have a mind and body happy, that lived in perfect harmony.

Hidden behind this scene, was your precious silent queen;
Deep like ocean, pure like gold, she brought you all the sheen.

Known to all by the name of heart, she was your major part;
She ruled through you, she ruled many hearts, but she handled smart.

Big or small, short or tall, the fate is a master to all;
Though a doll, she is just a heart and even mighty fall.

She is lost now in his thoughts and has ignored all;
With her like this, rest of parts refuse to answer call.

The eyes refuse to sleep at night, or gaze anything bright;
The mouth doesn't want to eat, though hands force the plight.

Tears flowing like a stream, is not a pretty sight;
The legs too are avoiding flight, having lost the gait.

The lips resemble sour berry, caused by teeth's worrying bite;
Tongue which was so keen to fight, has now turned very quiet.

Ears are deaf to the many words, except from heart's knight
Skin and hair, deprived of care, are turning sick and blight.

You O' Brain tried forcing her, that she must now refrain;
This only caused more heart pain, while driving you insane.

Dear O' Brain, you are weary now, in need of your heart mate;
Why don't you go pray tell her, that things will be soon alright!
