Butterflies

BUTTERFLIES

Soft rays of the rising Sun
Sneaking through the veil of morning dew
Tickled the rose-bud open;
Soon on its petal formed a dew -drop,
In its sphere captured the whole sky,
In its feat glowing with pride.

Moments past
A butterfly landed on the rose,
Flapping its wings, bursting
And sweeping away the dew-drop.

Butterfly asked the sun -flower:
"Why do you keep on looking at the Sun
From morning to evening? "
"I wonder why he is looking at me all the while
And don't you see, he looks just like me."
Replied the sunflower.

Watching the butterfly
Settled on a flower,
The child asked it,
"Oh butterfly, who painted
Such cute pictures on your wings? "

God taking stroll in the morning
Saw the butterflies
Flitting from flower to flower,
Thought it was good he painted
Their wings with such cute designs.

The butterfly flapped its wings
And took off in the air
Leaving the rose a little sad
