Aristide NDAHAYO Biography

Name: Aristide NDAHAYO Born: 14th, June 2003 Years Active: 2019-Now Occupation: Poets, Documentalist & Novelist Place: Kigali, Rwanda Aristide NDAHAYO is a young talented Rwandan Poet, Documentalist, Artist and Journalist. NDAHAYO is known for the poems he writes, including the 1st album he released in 2022 called 'I was born to die'. The album is on different Poetry sites such as Baskadia and others. He is also well known for his Poems about the national army and others that can teaches people to love the country (Ndi Umusirikare, Wari Umusirikare, Muzanyibukira Kuki, etc...) and he's one of the best poets in his generation! His dream is to be one of the Poets of all times that Rwanda has had, and to be an International poet. Since 2019, he has started making Documentaries, starting with the one he called 'Isi mu biganza bya Afurika' (The World in the Hands of Africa) and continuing with the one he called 'Aluta Continua', which helped him build his reputation and improve his experience in this career.)

I Gave Up On You

We were so happy and content with life,
Without you how will I strive?
Why you left me and took another way,
I kept on looking helplessly at the bay....

I gave you my life,
I gave you my love,
Then how could you betray me,
How could you shove?
I gave you my soul,
Coz you had a great role, In my life,
Go and please don't come back again.

You know that you were the world to me,
Beyond you nothing I could see,
But, you left me without any reason.

My only fault was that I loved you a lot,
You were my only thought...
You know that, my only wish was to have you in my life,
But things were not the same from your side,
I thought you will love me the way I do,
But, you had some feelings untrue,
Life moves on with time and,
I have lost my hopes to call you mine.


Now, I gave up on you
I gave up on you it's been so long,
You have messed up the lyrics of my beautiful song.
I gave up on you, and now it's just a thought,
To the best of my will,
I fought, I gave up on you,
the hope is departed,
It's all lost before it could be started....
