Impractical Umbrella

There were once two souls
Wandering afloat,
Drifting into the great uknown.
One day their paths did meet,
and what a meet indeed
for those souls were two of a kind
Gentle and fragile and in one same mind.
One shone red and emerald green
The other was blue, as blue as was seen
Now as they walk on a picture they paint
Not one of a sinner, nor of any saint.
There will be two souls
Wandering afloat
Drifting into the air, as they know
Now that the sea,
as formidable a deep
Was their new home
Away from unknown, away from home.
As they linger on, the past recedes
A future they meet they do not heed.
A story most unfortunate
Will line them with silver sorrow,
Mark my words and repeat them tomorrow.
