Arvin Stark Poems

I tied you
around my hand
as a wristband
—a significance of my faith, &
...

I swipe off your dead skin
that has taken the form of dirt,
every time I clean my room.
But somehow the dirt stays within the gap
...

Will you keep
moving on as you do?
Every time after
somebody breaks your heart.

Wristband

I tied you
around my hand
as a wristband
—a significance of my faith, &
sometimes, just as a mere showcase.
And maybe,
I held onto you
a little too tight,
a little too long,
Just because of
the eagerness within me
of not letting you go,
now and again,
I may have hurt you.
& just like any other thing,
you reciprocated,
by hurting me in return.
Now, my slender wrist
has bruises as well as
scars of yours
or maybe mine
doing.
