Oh princess, Oh princess, our future queen
Why does fate have to be so mean?
You were young, inspirational, so much to give
You loved, you laughed, and you lived

You were strong, courageous, not a fear in sight
But, oh those cameras, flashes, and lights
You ran, swerved and jumped
You flipped, tumbled, and bumped

You left your loves Charles, William, and Harry
With heavy hearts and burdens to carry
Our casual princess on the street
Had to dress up and be elite

A stay home mother
Who cared about one another
She helped others with AIDS
And helped let the fears fade

Oh princess, Oh princess your painful trip is done
You no longer have to hide, drive, or run
