Asphalt Falls... Poems

I, once also felt love
Was once also stroked by desire
And once also loved by my love
Once long, long ago
...

Is it forbidden to care
Is it forbidden to love
Is it forbidden to ask
Why I can’t wish for more
...

The sun’s radiating warmth
Expelling the dark clouds
The wind, bearing cold
Leading the leaves’ dance
...

The snow melts
The land comes back to life
Giving way to lush green
As Spring Comes
...

The cycle continues
The sun goes up and sets
With many Deaths, too many Alive
What is Reality?
...

Sometimes laughter and squeals of delight
Most of the time cries and pleas for help
Kids running under the sun, swimming in the flood
Old men gambling under the sun, smoking by the flood
...

The Love That Loved Me

I, once also felt love
Was once also stroked by desire
And once also loved by my love
Once long, long ago

The love that loved me
Was the only love that failed me
It made me feel a blizzard in my heart
The first time I’ve felt winter

Maybe you ask why
My love that loved me
Broke the heart of a maiden
As fair as me

But I say to you
This fair blessing given to me
Was a curse
To this love and me

We were torn apart
By thoughts that torment him
Questioning himself
And his right to be with me

So this love that loved me
Denied himself
This chance to be with me
And forgot about me

So now I move on
And grew a heart as hard as stone
As I forget
The love that loved me
