Claw at the dirt

Warm and distant glass distorts what i cant find.
Seeking my heart,
...

The distant breeze calls for me
pulling me drifting
deeper and deeper
until i see the nothing but the whispers
...

I am nervous and weak
I can feel my heart beat
as I muster up the courage for you to see me.
...

I swear it to be false I swear it to be gone I swear it wont happen again, ascends my voice as I quietly scream at my pen.
Don’t make me write it, don’t you dare I don’t love him, now stop the stare!
It is over don’t you see.
He has a girlfriend, so there is no me.

Claw at the dirt

Warm and distant glass distorts what i cant find.
Seeking my heart,
and finding nothing
but chaos,
and distant memories of what it looked like
and how it felt.

Theres a ransom for what i seek,
a price too high to care.
Leave it be,
let it go.
Leave it be,
to be free,
of dreams and hopes,
and wants and needs.

Its easier you see.
Why bother to start,
when all i see is the end.

That bends my mind to wonder,
just how many times i was dropped on the head.
That lead to this fantasy or dream,
that i would beam a stream of hope
to a blackened sky.

Thinking one day it will find its way,.
just maybe it will come home.
Optimism is for the strong hearted
and that silver lining turned black once i turned my back

and now i crawl
as i claw at the dirt
it was here you know, my heart.
i buried it with the rest of what i loved
