Death

I flutter my eyes open to a vast emptiness of pure white and I'm floating in my place and in front of me I see him, he gives me reassurance that I'm not going through this alone his cloak of darkness fades into the white, covering most of his partly skeletal face, his jet black wings folded neatly at his sides and his scythe gleams brighter than I imagined. I step towards him as he extends his bony hand towards me I gently take it as he leads me to where I'm meant to be, and for once I'm glad I'm not alone, he seems to have a shield surrounding him and once you step in you're immediately cloaked in warmth and comfort. We begin to walk to a glowing golden light and I see the gates of heaven as we inch nearer to them. Once we reach them he taps the ground with his scythe and opens them before turning to me. "A new adventure awaits you ahead young Angel" He spoke to me in a soft tone and guided me through the gates before letting me go and I watch him as he turns back towards the gates and exits returning to the white void.
