All that was is a distant dream
All fondness of memories drained
But in the heart is a gleam of truth
...
To the idol, the labouring hand said;
be my hope and bring me joy,
for i cherish your form,
and in your being, rests my hope.
...
Nothing to live for
Nothing to die for
There's only you...
And nothing but you
...
If tomorrow ever comes
leave in your heart a glimmer of hope
that draws in the light
and illuminates the soul
...
Voices deep inside
that echo of dismay
And thoughts and bits of feelings
...
As i struggle to break free,
the shadows pull me back
Entangle my feet in debris of dreams
and pull my soul away from reality
...
Your majesty holds me in awe
And fills my heart with a reverence deep
Oh lord! thine mastery
Kun Fayakun!
...
I wait for the time when the dream shall be over
and when reality unfurls its wings
When all falsehood shall perish
...
An Ode On Hope
All that was is a distant dream
All fondness of memories drained
But in the heart is a gleam of truth
And in my eyes a glimmer of hope
All is not lost yet
For life has yet not come to an end
Sorrow indeed blocks the light today
But in this darkness lays concealed the path to light
With hope instilled, shall find the way
The gleeful soul, lest it refrain
For goes not in vain the efforts of a striving heart,
That tries to find a way to joy.
The will to live is but innate
A divine blessing that awaits discovery.
