That Girl In The Mirror

Does She see what I see?
Does she feel what I feel?
Does she know like I know?
Does she Grow Like I grow?
Or just change as I change
Like a copy, just flipped

Can I learn from her?
Can I look into her eyes?
Can I detect her feelings from within?
Joy, Sorrow, anger, fear?

Does she feel my desperation?
As I search her face for one thing I like?
Does she know I am not looking at her appearance but at her insides?
Not the body, but the mind, the spirit, the feelings

I see compassion, Love, friendship, freedom, sympathy.
But I also see selfishness, jealousy, frustration and laziness.

And I envy that girl in the mirror for she only changes these things once I have changed them.
She does not have to work to change these habits.
But I do.
I try so hard, but always letting others and myself down
But she never does,
That girl in the mirror
