Azhar Sabri was born in Gaya Bihar, He received his early education from Gaya, a friend of the family. Young Azhar was much impressed by this gentleman, and he got interested in Urdu Young Aster was much impressed by this gentleman, and he got interested in Urdu poetry because or him. He was also active in Urdu Majlis (society) formed for the advancement of Urdu literature.)
