Raindrops, what's your temporal power
As you spiral through the air
That turneth you to raucous shower
And luscious locks to sodden hair?
...

The sound of muffled breathing
Barely heard
As it blends with the breeze
Whisked away

Raindrops, What's Your Temporal Power?

Raindrops, what's your temporal power
As you spiral through the air
That turneth you to raucous shower
And luscious locks to sodden hair?

You battle what the sun cannot
Your victory spells his defeat
You maketh cold what once was hot
You drum a pounding, steady beat.

The brilliant, fiery streaks of light- -
With one blow, felling mighty trees- -
That turn to day the stormy night
And honor you, through your strong breeze.

Can I, dare I, understand
The thunder crashing through the sky?
Your servant, your wish his command,
Your might he does exemplify.

Raindrops, tell me, as you drench me
You're powerful, but are you fierce?
Perhaps you're gentle though you clench me,
Though my clothes you try to pierce.

The puddles underneath my boot
That I wade through, time to time- -
You wash the pavement of the soot;
Do you cleanse, too, my daily grime?
