waiting and yearning
hoping and dreaming
wanting and needing
that's all i did
all through the cold nights
all through the lone days
that's all I did

peeping from the window
awaiting the steps at the door
for you when you left
a void was left
a hole you dug
too deep to be filled
you left me bare

i ask why
i question my deeds
reviewing my thoughts
for it maybe it was me
how I talked
how I didn't show you much
maybe I pushed you away

with now word
no reason
without looking back
you just left
left my embrace
and I froze in the cold
ice, my heart became
dark, my life became
