A First Glimpse, A First Try. For K.
At a cloudy winter day,
a beam of light, a single ray,
broke through the wall of grayish clouds,
to light an estate, long forgotten,
dark and lonely, slightly rotten,
peopled by a man in shrouds.
He raised his gaze up to the sun,
which he, by now, was used to shun.
This glimpse of light,
warming his skin,
this time waking something within,
as it shone so bright.
Raising to his feet, at first just staring,
then raising his hand, the first time really daring,
