Benjamin David Poems

Kneeling upon a smile to touch the vine
Scentful seeping in blissful sensation
Leering beauty and plucking temptation
Just one piece of nature's heaven divine
...

Petrified child, low and behold
gracing life's lullaby, story retold

Repentant tears, shrouded in safety
...

To fall, I wake
burdening dreams forsake
...

As I approach the hearth, dilapidated ashes grave
leering evermore, pensive residue, wooden stave
...

It started with locked touch, a tender espy
The heart's newly appeasement, with pains descry
Whispers of beauty, this new semblant implies
Imperial flourishing, trysting apprise
...

The loneliness lingers, the sonorous pulsate
Clasping air leads, heart's insatiable aerate
Enclosing darkness verged, clasping inure
...

Pervade the uneased, cliff's befallen
standing in wait of her psalm carollan
A European reine, a becoming, demure
Delicate strides, an oar for loving spoor
...

Abandoning our rapture, leaving child's cradle
venturing heavenly sails, kissing answers fable
...

Awakened dreams, nightmarish quips
Jaundiced tear drops, blooded thrips

Winter's forlorn, wrathful mourn
...

The Best Poem Of Benjamin David

An Advent

Despite the elapsed time after their ending; after their abjuration - an elapsed time that subsisted like some weary stream without direction - her advent felt like some new season, some new world that had hibernated through the harsh tempests. Her visit brought with it all those embellishing, incomparable contours and, gosh, those shied, rose-hued colours on her cheeks that stood abloom. All at once, he fell in love with her in an almighty swoon. He lapsed into love the way she fell into her dreams at night: slowly, and then all at once.
