With the noises from the room upstairs
Crowding into both my ears
Everyone's happiness just pisses me off

He said okay with a smile and a nod
And quietly turned around
I knew in the end his words would be lost
In the dump with all the other ones
...
There were those legs in his path that he'd passed by
They would trip him and he'd fall to his knees
It was never of him to stay pinned and cry
He'd always rise and continue his journey to wherever it was

You are blue and cloudy
Your tears dropp like rain
Now there is no growth
All that's left is bare

I'M The Gap
And once again, I am all alone
With the noises from the room upstairs
Crowding into both my ears
Everyone's happiness just pisses me off
Even more so that it's so hard to ignore
They are so together like a family
And I want to mess up that bond
Because I struggle to find this connection
But to do that would be heartless
I know I just have to wait and in time
Someone'll notice my silence
We'll commence in conversations
About something I've no clue and never heard
These common things, I may never understand
I might live forever in this socially distorted state
Because I'm the gap in the universe
Where everyone else is the filling
And I'm so out of place in the backdrop
But in the spotlight is where I am unappealing
I'll just blend with all the other empty spaces
And make my undesirable position standable to be in
Oh God, sooner or later this universe has got to shift
