The moment you brought me into this life, I knew you'd keep me safe for all of my time.
From the second you held me in your arms, I knew you'd be the one to solve all my qualms.
As I grew older, day by day, you'd take your time, to help me along my way.
Older still, thinking I knew it all, you were there to catch me even when you knew I'd fall.
...
To My Mum
The moment you brought me into this life, I knew you'd keep me safe for all of my time.
From the second you held me in your arms, I knew you'd be the one to solve all my qualms.
As I grew older, day by day, you'd take your time, to help me along my way.
Older still, thinking I knew it all, you were there to catch me even when you knew I'd fall.
My first love came and went, my heart was torn apart.
But you did what you've always done, and mended my broken heart.
From a baby into a lady, you helped me grow in to, nothing I want more Mum, is to turn out just like you.
My wedding day you held my hand, and shed some tears with me.
Promising that what I was about to do, was perfect, and meant to be.
A short time later you held my hand again, when life of my own I birthed, an Angel that was sent.
Six months later some awful news, shook me to my core. But there you were as always, mending me once more.
Some more time passed, another Angel grew. But this time, my little angel was just like a mini You.
My children have taught me what I am to you. A friend for all of time, from the second I was brand new.
Never do I ever think, I‘ll find all the words, to tell you how much I love you, a secret surely heard.
I hope one day my children understand the things that I do now, that no matter what is happening, a mother takes a vow.
To promise to love, cherish and be their child's number one fan. To forever look after them, always holding their hand.
If you have taught me one thing mother, It's that you have a love for me like no other.
I'm glad that God picked you for me, a Guardian Angel of my own.
Whenever you hold me in your arms, I am safe, I am home.
I want to tell you how much you mean to me, but I cannot find the words,
Instead, the words of how my mother gives me her everything, surely will be heard.
