I enjoy writing poetry of all kinds, poems which rhyme or non-rhyme. In spare time I write short stories and when not writing poetry I write my own original song lyrics which could be C/W, Pop, International, or blues. more »

Days Of Old
Do you know? Have you been told?
What happened to the days of old?
When hair was done in promenade,
10 cent a glass for lemonade,
Family picnics filled the parks,
Catching lightning bugs by dark,
Screens unlatched or left unhooked,
Windows left up,
Children said, their prayers each night,
Neighbors you seemed,
To know their names,
If sick in bed,
Flowers, they'd bring
Boys and girls, grew up where,
Moms and dads were always there.
