We always fear what's not seen
The macabre terrors we dream.

The shadows that dance and play in the gloom
I dread the thought of me seeing tomorrow
My heart is filled with pain and bitter sorrow

In my blackest night
You torture my mind
So full of spite

A tale i shall tell of murder and spite
A tale that begins on a dark stormy night,
For an old wife named Mary, a wicked old witch
Who waited for husband, an idiot named Rich,
...

As I lament and cry of our love that was lost long ago,
I doth protest your tragic end, I pray they may not know.
With haunting memories so vivid red, painful and clear.
I lament alone in solitude, guilt and shed silent tears.

In the deep, dark woods, where weeping willows cry,
The gentleman heard a lament beneath the cold, dark sky,
Drawn to the mournful melody, he felt lost love's wistful sigh.

Each breath an aberration, a wrinkle in the seamless cloth of nonexistence.
The touch of sunlight, a harsh reminder of warmth long lost,
Shadows of memories, so vague, they seem borrowed,
Yet they anchor, drag down, tethering to an unasked past.

They are in darkness' clasp, where shadows lurk.
A wandering soul in the darkness of a well.
The night is heavy, so big, so deep,
Where dreams are far, and creeping fears.
